These are decorated around my apartment, written in my journal, scratched on post-it notes and there to remind and inspire the travel mindset (not all are exactly travel-related, but work with me ;). Here they are for your own enjoyment. If you have any other ones, please share!

There’s a Chinese saying “Instead of reading ten thousand books, why not walk ten thousand miles.” Through traveling, you learn things books simply can’t offer.

Thanks for sharing Dave! I haven’t seen that one before and couldn’t agree more!

Thanks Eric! I love the list on Brave New Traveler and think it’s probably one of the most comprehensive ones out there. That’s great to hear that you use them for more inspiration when you need it!

I love the first quote by Mark Twain. Life’s all about living without regrets.

The one by your favorite taxi driver carries some good wisdom as well. By the way, this is the first time I’ve heard someone having a favorite taxi driver. Where did you meet him? In NYC?

Twain is full of so many great quotes.

@Erica, I’ll have to write a blog post about Amar. During the ride from Queens to Manhattan, I learned how he moved from New Guinea to New York City without a dime to his name and now is close to meeting all of his life’s goals. I’ll fill in the details later :) It was really inspiring and hands down the best taxi ride I’ve taken!
